On April 8, the All-Ukrainian NPK with international participation “Actual problems of higher medical education and science” took place in KhNMU.

The staff of the department took an active part in four breakout sessions, taking into account the high relevance and practical interest of the stated issues for discussion.

Zhuravlyova L.V. delivered a report “The experience of organizing postgraduate training for internists within the framework of the strategy of continuous professional development” within the section “Advanced training, continuous professional development”, in which she said that improving the quality of training of medical specialists in advanced training courses is an urgent problem in the system Postgraduate education and requires the introduction of new educational technologies. In report, Larisa Vladimirovna gives the experience of introducing Internet information educational technologies in the organization of thematic advanced training courses for doctors of the cycle “Rheumatology” in a mixed format with elements of distance learning at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 and Endocrinology of KhNMU.

Ph.D. Oliinyk M.O. reported on “Certain aspects of the internationalization of education on the example of the departments of the VII faculty for the preparation of foreign students of the Research Institute of PIG KNMU” in the section “Internationalization of medical education and science “, where she noted that the participants of the educational process in recent years are actively involved in this process, taking part in international internship and academic mobility programs, attend international scientific and educational forums, and publish in foreign publications.

Associate Professor of the Department Sokolnikova N.V. shared her experience about “The use of simulation teaching methods in the formation of professional skills of a therapeutic profile” at the sectional session “Features of the organization of distance learning in medical HEIs”. Nelya Vladimirovna noted that simulation training in therapy is a modern technology for mastering and evaluating practical skills, abilities and knowledge, based on modeling a clinical situation, its development and obtaining a result. Simulation methods (situational tasks, the use of mannequins, simulators, etc.) are used both in offline classes and in distance learning.

The conference ended with the adoption of a resolution, which noted the need for further implementation of effective reforms in the educational process to improve competencies at all stages of study at a medical university.
