An assistant of the Department of Internal Medicine №3 and Endocrinology, PhD Sikalo Yuliya Kostiantynivna was invited to discuss the issue, and shared the experience of using information content from Scientific Library of KhNMU during the introduction of distance learning at the university.
Yuliya Kostiantynivna noted the growing importance of the Scientific Library in creating quality e-courses, insofar as the provision of high quality informational and primarily digital content has been and will remain an important component of effective learning.

On September 1, a new academic year began at the department for 4th year students, bachelors, interns and graduate students. According to the order of the management of KhNMU, practical classes at the department are held in a mixed mode: in class, in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, and distantly on the information and educational portal “Distance learning of KhNMU”.
At the entrance to the department, all participants of the educational process undergo temperature screening, antiseptic wetting of hands. Students in the department move in masks.
The head of the department, professor Zhuravlyova Larysa, checked the readiness of the distance courses of the discipline for the beginning of the educational process in accordance with the requirements. Also, information boards for students were updated with up-to-date information on the features of blended learning and the COVID-19 pandemic.

On May 16, 2020, an online meeting of the ukrainian student scientific society of the department of Internal Medicine № 3 and Endocrinology KhNMU was held by as.prof. PhD Ogneva Olena. Within the topic “Modern non-invasive methods of diagnostic morphological state of liver within chronic disease” modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases were analyzed.
On May 16, 2020, an online meeting of the international student scientific society of the department of Internal Medicine № 3 and Endocrinology KhNMU was held by ass.prof. PhD Rogachova Tetyana. Within the topic “Valvular heart disease” modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of mitral and aortic valvular heart disease were analyzed. In addition to voice explanation of the material, demonstration of text slides with key information, illustrative pictures, the presentation demonstrated short fragments of medical animation, showing the hemodynamics of valvular heart disease and methods of surgical treatment, as well as 1-minute audio recordings of auscultation of the heart in relevant heart defects. The finale of the meeting was a brief analysis of the clinical case from the teacher’s own experience and a discussion on the topic of the meeting with the participation of all present students.
On May 14, an examination for 3rd year bachelor students majoring in “Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment” in the discipline “Internal Medicine with evaluation of research results” was held at the Department of Internal Medicine №3 and Endocrinology of KhNMU. The exam was conducted by the head of Department, Professor Larysa Zhuravlyova and Associate Professor Krivonosova Olena in an online format on the Moodle platform of KhNMU.
