Traditionally, during the last decade of January, KhNMU hosted the annual Spartakiad “Health Games” among university staff, with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization.

On January 24-26, 2022, the Festival of Youth Science took place within the framework of the Scientific Session of Kharkiv National Medical University. Students and young scientists of the Department of Internal Medicine №3 and Endocrinology took an active part in it and won prizes.
As part of the festival, January 24 , а brain-ring of students and young scientists “Medicine without Borders” took place, where the team of our department “People in White” took second place (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Lakhno OV).
On January 25, the interuniversity conference of young scientists and students “Medicine of the third millennium” took place. In the section “Internal Medicine” the second place was taken by Kuye Adesegun Jacobs and Azuvike Uchechi Blessing for the report “The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the total body weight and its associated symptoms” (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Elhazh OV).
Aayushi Tanvar’s speech “Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of hemochromatosis” was awarded a diploma for the best presentation (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Fedorov VA).
On January 26, the final plenary session of the Scientific Session was held, which was opened by Professor LV Zhuravlyova with actual report “Pandemic during the pandemic: diabetes and COVD-19”.

В суботу 18 грудня на кафедрі відбулося чергове засідання студентського наукового гуртка. Доцент кафедри Янкевич Олександр Олександрович запросив гуртківців до кардіологічного відділення Обласної клінічної лікарні, де висвітлив принципи роботи та організації лікувального процесу у ньому. Також було проведено майстер-клас із клінічного розбору кардіологічного хворого з виконанням ЕКГ та УЗД серця.
16.12.2021 у стінах ДУ «Інститут проблем ендокринної патології ім. В.Я. Данилевського НАМН України» відбулася науково-практична конференція для ендокринологів, терапевтів, лікарів загальної практики-сімейної медицини, педіатрів, кардіологів, невропатологів та інших спеціалістів з онлайн-трансляцією «Стратегії профілактики та лікування ендокринних захворювань та шляхи їх реалізації: від постулатів минулого в майбутнє» в рамках реалізації науково – освітнього проекту «Український ендокринологічний практикум».
На конференцію була запрошена завідувачка нашої кафедри, д.мед.н., проф. Журавльова Лариса Володимирівна, яка виступила із доповідю «Актуальні питання інсулінотерапіі в практиці сімейного лікаря».

Кафедра внутрішньої медицини №3 та ендокринології прийняла участь у заході, присвяченому Дню боротьби з ожирінням, за ініціативою студентів з організації “Сектор громадського виховання та волонтерства” ХНМУ.
Завідувачка кафедри внутрішньої медицини №3 та ендокринології, професор Журавльова Лариса Володимирівна відкрила захід привітальним словом для студентів та доповіддю щодо актуальних питань ожиріння, що викликало великий інтерес. Далі відбувся квест серед студентів, в якому брали участь 8 команд. Всього було 5 локацій, розташованих в різних залах бібліотеки корпусу Б, а також у головному корпусі. Завдання були в формі дискусій, вирішення кросвордів, ситуаційних та теоретичних завдань на знання матеріалу. Студенти розмістили постери з основною інформацією щодо ризиків ожиріння, що також викликало додатковий інтерес. Наприкінці, всі команди отримали подарунки від організаторів.
Куратором заходу виступила доцент нашої кафедри Елхаж Олена Валентинівна, яка допомагала студентству у підготовці і протягом всього часу проведення події.

З 12 по 26 жовтня на кафедрі проводилися курси тематичного вдосконалення з ревматології.
Загалом, до навчання долучилося 6 лікарів-ревматологів з різних лікарень міста та області. Отриманні знання лікарі успішно трансформували в 50 балів безперервного професійного розвитку власного портфоліо.
З 20 по 21 жовтня 2021 року в Харківському національному медичному університеті відбулася традиційна конференція «International Scientific Interdisciplinary Conference (ISIC)». Загалом в конференції взяли участь більше 200 студентів та молодих науковців – представників України та інших країн.
20 жовтня 2021 року було проведено секцію «Внутрішня медицина», у якій взяли активну участь студенти кафедри внутрішньої медицини №3 та ендокринології.
Необхідно відмітити, що усі студенти, що представляли кафедру, отримали нагороди:

A Master-class on the rules for using a glucometer, was held by Assistants of the department Pivovarov A.V., Cherpita V.A. and Echina S.M. During which everyone had the opportunity to check the blood glucose level and calculate the body mass index. In general, about 180 glucometries were carried out, the results of almost all were within the physiological norm.
Assistant of the department Stoyanova Yu.D. took part in the organization of the medical quiz “I understand medicine”, where each participant had the opportunity to check basic medical knowledge and receive nice gifts. Assistant of the department Markevich N.A. took part in an animated performance, during which visitors had the opportunity to learn how to diagnose emergency conditions and provide first aid.
The program of the event also included familiarizing visitors with methods of performing various medical manipulations on phantoms, participating in contests and quizzes, listening to educational lectures.

The academic year has begun at the Department of Internal Medicine №3 and Endocrinology. 4th and 6th year students, bachelors, and interns joined the classroom. In the educational process, teachers of the department widely use the resources created on the distance learning platform Moodle. In particular, students have the opportunity to join the blended learning regime, which effectively combines methods of classroom and extracurricular activities.

On April 23, 2021, the defense of the dissertation work by G.Yu. Timoshenko on the topic “Optimization of diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of patients with chronic cholecystitis and type 2 diabetes mellitus, taking into account the role of fibroblast growth factor-19”, performed at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 and Endocrinology under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, prof. Zhuravlyova LV was held at the online meeting of the dissertation council D 64.600.04 at KhNMU.
Official opponents took part in the discussion of the dissertation work: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Fadeenko Galina Dmitrievna, Director of the State Institution “National Institute of Therapy named after L.T.
