The final test on the thematic sections of the discipline Endocrinology and Hematology has begun on the department.
A pre-formed bank of all tests and questions in the department category of courses in the Moodle KNMU system provided a convenient algorithm for generating a ticket in the body of the test. The applied algorithm for the formation of an examination ticket provides for an introductory test with the further possibility of obtaining an essay task and checking it by the teacher. Tasks and tests in the ticket appear randomly from a questions database, containing 450 items. Tickets also have time limits for execution, and access to them is opened directly by the teacher during the lesson. The second stage of the final control with the analysis of answers and the solution of clinical problems takes place synchronously in the webinar room. The head of the department, professor Larisa Zhuravlyova approved this algorithm for the final certification after a step-by-step discussion of its components at a meeting with the department staff.
On April 24, a regular web meeting with the staff of the department to ensure the high quality of the educational process in remote conditions, was held by head of the department Zhuravlyova Larysa. Current issues concerning the implementation of pedagogical, scientific, methodological and medical work were discussed. The procedure for conducting final test of students on the Moodle platform has been approved.
Distance learning, of course, has made its adjustments to the planned course of the educational process at the department. Creating quality training courses, realizing the possibility of current control, eliminating academic debt, planning semester certification – these are the urgent challenges facing the staff of the department in new and difficult working conditions. Head of the departments prof. Zhuravlyova Larysa Volodymyrivna approved the work of the initiative group whith Sikalo Yuliya and Oliynyk Maria. They created a basic distance endocrinology course for 4th year students on the Moodle platform in three languages, which made it possible to be one of the first departments to ensure a quality transition to distance learning in mixed mode (synchronous-asynchronous) from the first days of quarantine. In the future, assistants of the department Filonenko Maryna, Rogachova Tetyana, Sokolnikova Nelya, associate professors Ogneva Olena, Pasieshvili Tamara joined the development of the course courses of the discipline, with obligatory consecutive performance of activity and constant control. The database of departmental courses includes more than 100 test tasks, the successful completion of which, among other things, will be a condition of admission to the final certification. Both domestic and foreign students actively participated in such activities. Students are interested in this approach, the best works will be additionally marked by teachers.
Postgraduate students and interns are actively involved in distance learning at the department. The head of the department, Professor Larysa Zhuravlyova, conducts training webinars on topical issues of internal medicine, analyzes clinical cases, conducts testing.

Для організації якісного дистанційного навчання, співробітники кафедри разом із студентами та лікарями активно долучилися до можливостей офіційної платформи ДО ХНМУ Moodle. Згідно розкладу, викладачі проводять вебінари, на яких читаються лекції та розглядаються клінічні випадки за темою заняття. Самостійна підготовка до заняття, виконання завдань та контрольні тестування студентами та лікарями проводиться у відповідних підрозділах кафедральної категорії Moodle.
The activity of the Department of Internal Medicine №3 and Endocrinology of KhNMU in the conditions of forced quarantine is aimed at ensuring continuous implementation of the curriculum of the discipline in the distance form of ALL participants of the educational process – both undergraduate education (4th year students, bachelors) and postgraduate (interns, graduate students).
To organize quality distance learning, the staff of the department together with students and doctors actively joined the capabilities of the official platform of KhNMU Moodle. According to the schedule, teachers conduct webinars, where lectures are given and clinical cases are considered on the topic of the lesson. Independent preparation for classes, tasks and control tests by students and doctors is carried out in the relevant departments of the departmental category Moodle.
Today at the Department of Internal Medicine # 3 and Endocrinology a regular meeting of the department was held in the format of a web conference on the distance learning platform of KhNMU (Moodle) in a specially created web room. During the meeting, the head of the department, Professor Larysa Volodymyrivna Zhuravlyova voiced urgent issues regarding the implementation of the educational process in quarantine, and each employee had the opportunity to actively participate remotely and report on the amount of work done during this time. In general, the staff of the department created distance learning courses for independent training of students in the discipline “Internal Medicine, including endocrinology” for 4th year students in three languages, which includes a variety of interesting activities, tasks, multilevel testing, including situational tasks to prepare for STEP-2.
On March 20, the first day of the Training Program for Doctors “ART OF TREATMENT: A POSTGRADUATE PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT” was held in the on-line format through the Association’s website www.apam.org.ua.
Professor Larysa Zhuravlyova joined to the newest format of the conference and made a presentation on topic “Management of patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes.”
